About the Artist

Sylvia Lange was born and has resided in Edmonton, Alberta her whole life. She studied art at the University of Alberta graduating with a Certificate of Fine Art in 2003 and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology in 1980. She has been painting for over thirty years and has exhibited her work in many galleries in Edmonton and the surrounding areas.

Sylvia has explored a variety of mediums: dye on rice paper primarily, as well as watercolour, oil, acrylic, silkscreen and fibre art.

Sylvia’s love of nature comes through in her work. Art, for Sylvia, is an expressive mix of what exists in life and what exists within.
